GAME DAY RECAP: November 18-20, 2025

Ontario Hockey Academy Mavericks (1) vs CIH Academy (8) East U18 Prep

Leonardo Stretti opened the scoring 4:32 in as he scored a power play goal for CIH Academy. Tucker Clare (1G, 2A) added his third of the season 1:05 later before Nikita Iakovlev (2G) tallied his second of the year 1:30 after that. Ricky Deslauriers (2G, 1A) rounded out the period with his seventh goal of the season with 2:40 remaining in the period as CIH Academy held a 4-0 lead. The offence would continue in the second for CIH Academy as Jayden Charlish-Moar, Maksim Gomba and Deslauriers added even strength markers to increase their advantage to 7-0. Iakovlev added his second of the game 2:40 into the third to kickstart the period and give his team an 8-0 lead. Jordan Laycock finally broke through for OHA Mavericks, ending the Jacob Kirstein (28/29) shutout bid with 15:59 left.

Selwyn House School (1) vs Ontario Hockey Academy (2) East U17 Prep

After a scoreless first period Elliott Sullivan (1G, 1A) opened the scoring 9:17 into the second period, beating Angelos Lazaris (32/34) for his fourth goal of the season. Michael Paliotti would tie the game just 35 seconds into the third with his fourth of the year. Ontario Hockey Academy would quickly respond to regain the lead as Mykyta Staskevych’s (1G, 1A) seventh of the season 1:10 later was the eventual game winner. Matvii Kulish (35/36) made 13 saves in the third and 35 in total to deny Selwyn of an equaliser.

RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg (7) vs BWC Academy (2) U15

Logan Hooper scored 1:28 in and Chase Henderson added a power play goal 10:10 later as BWC Academy held an early 2-0 lead. Jax Fellner (1G, 2A) scored the lone second period goal, beating Lachlan Beatty (34/41) to bring RHA Winnipeg within one and setup one of the most dominant third periods of the season. Max Manaigre (1G, 1A) tied the game 1:15 into the third and Liam Hailstone put RHA Winnipeg ahead 57 seconds later. Caleb Church (3G) doubled the lead on the power play a few minutes later before Ryan Koenig extended their advantage midway through the frame. Church would then score back-to-back goals to complete the hat-trick in a game that saw second place RHA Winnipeg score seven straight goals against fourth place BWC Academy. Cooper Beardy (37/39) made 37 saves for the win.

North Shore Warriors (0) vs Coeur d’Alene Hockey Academy (8) U15

Already 2-0-0 on the season against the North Shore Warriors, CDA did not hold back in their showcase opener, netting eight unanswered goals for a dominant shutout win over their BC rivals. Jagger Clark (2G) added another two to his goal total, leaving him one shy of 30 on the year. Reed Witham (2A), Brody Finley (1G, 2A) and Blake Horn (1G, 2A) would each snag multiple assists while Harrison Dalton (33/33) made 33 saves for his second shutout of the season.

Notre Dame Hounds (1) vs St. George’s School (5) U15

Asher Rogachevsky (2G) continues his hot streak, potting another pair of goals in St. George’s 5-1 victory over Notre Dame, giving the Vancouver, BC native seven goals in his last four games. Marcus Nuyen (1G, 2A) would also supply a performance, collecting three points. Dawsen Shwindt would score the lone goal for Notre Dame as Rhys Williams (28/29) made 28 saves for the Saints.

Prairie Hockey Academy (4) vs Delta Hockey Academy White (5) U15

Thursday’s contest between DHA White and Prairie was an all-out shooting gallery as both teams fired 50+ shots on goal. Delta White pulled away in the opening forty with a 2-0 lead until Prairie’s Maguire Lepp scored late in the second. The goals would start flying in as the third commenced. Sajan Chatha’s (1G, 1A) early strike wasn’t initially spotted, but after deliberation between the refs, would go on to count as it struck the backbar of PHA’s net. Prairie would come back swinging after surrendering the early marker as Griffon Eaton (2G) scored back-to-back goals from the point, tying this contest up at 3-3. Delta White would shake off the quick tallies as Kayden Krestanovich (2G) scored back-to-back goals for himself, restoring Delta White’s two goal advantage. Deklan Street (1G, 1A) would strike late to get Prairie back to within one, but would also take a late penalty, spoiling their chance at a late comeback. Logan Wagner (51/55) picked up the win with a 51 save effort while Cameron Rusyniak (54/59) made a valiant 54 saves in the loss.

Northern Alberta Xtreme (3) vs Yale Hockey Academy (2) U15

Karman Kang got things kicked off for Yale, scoring his first of the season off a clear point shot. Later in the frame, NAX would find their way on to the scoresheet thanks to Alex Reinhardt (2G), tying the contest up before the end of the first. In the middle frame, Reinhardt would find twine once again, polishing off his second of the day on a breakaway, giving NAX the lead through forty. Corbin Blatz (1G, 1A) would add NAX’s third halfway through the third, extending their lead to 3-1. Coquitlam, BC native Daniel Valchev would get Yale back to within one later in the third, but it was too little too late as they were not able to connect for a late tying goal. Jace Hilliard (25/27) would pick up the win in net, stopping 25 shots in the process.

STAR Hockey Academy (5) vs RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (7) U15

RHA Kelowna’s Nathan Osmond (2G) opened the scoring with a powerplay marker, scoring the lone goal of the first period. The stakes would ramp up in the second as RHA Kelowna established a 3-0 lead early. However, STAR’s Mason Layher (2G, 1A) would strike back-to-back in quick succession. Landen Gray (1G, 1A) and Kingston Prenioslo (1G, 1A) would restore RHA Kelowna’s two goal lead soon after, but Yeojun Park would polish off a cross-crease feed to cut the deficit to one before the ice clean. Into the third, Sidney Mock would benefit on RHA Kelowna’s red hot powerplay. However, STAR was not backing down. Regan Haggard would score his first of the season shorthanded while Asher Kekke (1G, 1A) scored on the man advantage soon after, making things a one goal affair once again. Despite a late push, Osmond would net the empty netter for RHA Kelowna, fending off STAR’s comeback and capturing the Thursday victory.

Edge School (9) vs Okanagan Hockey Academy (2) U15

After a scoreless first, Edge ramped up the energy in the second, outscoring OHA 6-1 with three powerplay markers. Edge would pile on another three in the third to cap off a 9-2 victory. Kolter McHale was the only skater to nab a pair of goals while Parker Lascelle (4A) provided four assists on the night. Gabriel Muhieddine (1G, 2A) would snag three points in the win while Carter Gideon (24/26) made 24 stops in the win.

OHA Edmonton (3) vs Delta Hockey Academy Black (5) U15

Huntley Keatley (1G, 1A) ignited the scoring for Delta Black with a wrister from the point for the early lead. Just under three minutes later, Stefano Trentalance wired home his 15th of the season to double Delta Black’s advantage. Jiseong Kim (2G) would get OHA Edmonton on the scoresheet off a strong solo rush, but a late goal from Wynn Carey (1G, 1A) restored Delta Black’s two goal lead. In the second, Zach Giles (1G, 2A) would strike shorthanded, further extending Delta Black’s lead. However, with only 14-seconds left to spare in the frame, Kim would bury his second, giving OHA Edmonton some life heading into the third. Things would teeter back-and-forth for most of the third until Nico Vujanic rifled home a loose puck on the powerplay to cut the OHA Edmonton deficit to one. With the goalie pulled, OHA Edmonton could not find the back of the net, allowing Minseo Song to put the icing on the win with an empty netter.

Calgary International Hockey Academy (2) vs Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (3) U15

Thursday’s late-night tilt between Calgary IHA and PCHA did not disappoint despite having a slow, scoreless start in the opening frame. In the second, Mick Mantrop would bury Calgary IHA’s first while Rhett Resicini’s point shot tied things up later shorthanded for PCHA. Late in the frame, Calgary IHA’s Rhett Davis would bury the go ahead goal, looking to spark a trend that would carry into the third. However, PCHA would ramp up the pressure in the final twenty, outshooting Calgary IHA 15-8, but holding on to their 2-1 lead. Koen Nicholas (2G) would reward PCHA for their efforts in the final three minutes of play, tying this game up with his 22nd of the season. Then with only 35-seconds left to spare, Nicholas would enter the zone once again, dangling his way on goal before roofing the game winner in regulation, completing the late comeback for the Sea Devils and kick starting their weekend in dramatic fashion!
